Why this workshop

Every loan officer can explain a buydown. Almost nobody markets one.

The mechanics are the easy part, and they get one quarter of the first session — the types, the compliance, how to set one up. The other three quarters are the part that actually moves business: building the content, the marketing and the education that gets consumers, referral partners and builders to act on it.

Knowing how a buydown works has never won anybody a listing. Marketing one does.

The plays

Eight ways to put a buydown to work.

These are the angles we build content and marketing around across the four sessions. Every one of them already exists as a template inside Housing Link — so you leave with the asset, not just the idea.

Win a listing
Use a buydown to be the reason the seller picks your agent over the other two in the running.
Bring a buyer back
Create the affordability that gets a sidelined buyer re-entering the market.
Market an active listing
Turn a listing that has gone quiet into a payment story buyers actually respond to.
Market new construction
Take the buydown to a builder community and the sales team selling it.
Counter a lowball offer
Answer a low offer with a buydown instead of handing over a price cut.
Offset second-home pricing
Use a buydown to absorb the rate adjustments that come with a second home.
Work the LLPAs
Know which loan-level adjustments help the buydown math and which quietly break it.
Write the offer
Structure and document a buydown so it survives the contract and underwriting.
What you leave with

You don't leave with notes. You leave with the assets.

We build in the sessions, not after them. Everything below is something you can put in front of a partner the same week.

Listings
Seller buydown listings built to work one-to-many, not one deal at a time.
Agent decks
Listing presentations your partners can carry into the living room.
Builder decks
What to put in front of a builder and their onsite sales team.
Consumer content
Education that explains the payment, not the product.
Open house materials
What to hand out, and what to put on the table at the door.
Ad materials
Creative for the listing, the community and the buydown itself.
Who it's for

Built for the people who have to sell it.

01
Loan officers
You can already explain a buydown. This is how you market one, and how you hand it to a partner.
02
Listing-side partners
The agents you want in the living room with you, armed with a payment story instead of a price cut.
03
Builder reps
Communities and onsite sales teams that need a reason for a buyer to act this month.
